2013 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
2013 was an exceptional vintage for the North Fork of Long Island, and the resulting wines deserved a special designated bottling. The North Fork enjoyed a long and dry summer, with all of the early fall storms that we are used to, missing the region entirely. This allowed the grapes to ripen and mature at a steady and uninterrupted pace, resulting in wines of balance and intensity.
This Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon—only bottled in the best of vintages—is a true representation of the North Fork, comprising of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot all sourced from the same vineyard.
Offering classic blackberry, olive, and leather components this wine is held aloft by firm tannins and robust structure. Vibrant and intense, with elements of cassis, bright red fruits, with a hint of jalapeño and smoke. Full of life now, yet extremely age-worthy, this wine can continue to develop in the cellar over the next 20 years.
