One of our most popular white wines, this Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel drums as opposed to oak barrels, giving it a crisp, bright acidity, similar to what you would expect from a Sauvignon Blanc. Not your traditional Chardonnay, this delicious white wine is perfect for warm weather and casual sipping.
Sourced from two separate vineyards on the lower east side of Seneca Lake (considered to be the "Banana Belt" of the region due to the slightly elevated temperatures and west facing slopes) in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York State, this Chardonnay uses three separate clones, all of which originated in Burgundy, France. The grapes were carefully harvested and gently pressed to extract the cleanest flavors before heading to Stainless Steel tanks for fermentation.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:
Light in color but intense in aromatics and flavor. Essence of grapefruit, fresh picked strawberries and wet river stones along with hints of honeydew melon and white peach. This wine is fresh and vibrant now, but it will cellar well for 10-15 years.
