Sourced from Suisun Valley, this Malbec showcases the essence of the moderate region. A hint of passion fruit hides behind predominant blueberry, blackberry, fresh cut leaf and nutmeg flavors. Supple mid-palate and a long finish.
Sourced from Suisun Valley, this Malbec showcases the essence of the moderate region located just off the San Francisco Bay. The fog layer that sits over the vineyard is a remarkable attribute, settling over the farm every morning until the hot California sun burns it away, only to roll back in in the early evening. This allows for a "push and pull" with temperatures, and in essence steadies the rate of ripening by offering the grapes a reprise from the hot afternoon sun. The resulting wine showcases the best of both worlds combining flavors found in both cool and hot climates.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
