2013 Reserve Merlot
2013 was an exceptional vintage for the North Fork of Long Island, and the resulting wines deserved a special designated bottling. The North Fork enjoyed a long and dry summer, allowing the grapes to ripen and mature at a steady and uninterrupted pace, resulting in wines of balance and intensity. This Reserve Merlot, only bottled in the best of vintages, comprises of 97% Merlot, sourced from two separate vineyards, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon.
A true representation of what the North Fork is capable of growing given all the right circumstances, this Merlot bursts with elements of plum, cherry, mocha, and fresh herbs while maintaining the marked salinity known for the region.
