2018 Cuvée Noir
The Cuvée Noir is our version of Côtes du Rhône. It is a medium bodied wine that is smooth and incredibly versatile with regards to food pairings. This year's iteration is 64% Grenache and 36% Petite Sirah, hailing from Central and Lodi California respectively.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:
This light and lively wine has a ruby purple color with notes of dusted cherry and other red fruits. The Petite Sirah adds some nice low end while preserving the bright fruity notes and freshness of the Grenache. There is nice acidity with present tannins that are not overwhelming. It's very easy drinking with a velvety smooth finish. The Grenache and Petite Sirah are a beautiful blend that play nicely together. We recommend to pair this with poultry, especially duck, or a creamy pasta dish.
