2013 Cabernet Franc
Powerful yet refined, this Cabernet Franc is a wonderful example of what the North Fork of Long Island can offer. Explosive elements of cocoa powder, blackberry, cassis, and blueberry pie mix with hints of jalapeno pepper and green and black olive. Supple texture, deep complexity with an incredibly long finish, this wine offers layer upon layer to be enjoyed for many years to come.
2013 was an exceptional vintage for the North Fork of Long Island. The North Fork enjoyed a long and dry summer, with all of the early fall storms that we are used to, missing the region entirely. This allowed the grapes to ripen and mature at a steady and uninterrupted pace, resulting in wines of balance and intensity. Full of life now, yet extremely age-worthy, this wine can continue to develop in the cellar over the next 20 years.
